What is an ANC?
Advisory Neighborhood Commissions (ANCs) are a non-partisan body that is made up of elected commissioners who serve a term of two years. Commissioners are non-partisan, elected and do not receive pay for this role.

I have a rodent problem - help!
The rats, unfortunately, are trying to run this city. While they are an unavoidable reality of urban life, it is true that the rodent population in the neighborhood has increased — or they are at least more visible (we are not spending resources on a rat census).
Resources re: rodents (more to come):
D.C. Department of Health (DOH)'s Rodent and Vector Control Division — this page has information about how to mitigate rats in your surrounding areas, and how to request rat abatement services from DOH.
How can I request traffic calming measures on my street?
Place a request via the 311 app or the 311 website. Do also let your ANC Commissioner know about the Service Request number and location so they can follow up with the appropriate authorities.
Note that DDOT has revamped the Traffic Safety Inputs system which will now be considered on a quarterly basis. However, residents should continue to add requests via 311.
How can I contact other ANC commissioners from 5E?
